Cookie policy
This page explains what the VectraComm website stores in your browser, what third parties may set, and how to change your choices. Nothing non-essential is stored before you decide in the consent banner. You can reopen the banner at any time through "Cookie settings" in the footer.
1. Strictly necessary storage (no consent required)
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| vc_prefs | Local storage, first party | Your theme (light or dark), text size and language choice | Until you clear browser data |
| vc_consent | Local storage, first party | Your consent choices, their version and date, so we do not ask again | 12 months, then we ask again |
| vc_rated | Local storage, first party | Remembers that you already rated the page | Until you clear browser data |
| vc_exit | Session storage, first party | Shows the "before you go" offer at most once per visit | Until the tab closes |
2. Usage measurement (consent required)
With your consent the page records anonymous usage events: which sections and buttons are used, scroll depth, estimator settings and screen width, linked to a random session id that is created when the page loads and not tied to you. No name, email or IP address is stored by this page's own analytics. Events are kept for 13 months.
[If a tag manager or analytics product is added when hosting, list its cookies here, for example: _ga (Google Analytics, 2 years), _ga_XXXXXXX (2 years).]
3. Translation (consent required)
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| googtrans | Google Translate | Remembers the language you selected | Session, or until cleared |
| Other Google cookies | Google LLC | Set under Google's own policy when the translation widget loads | See policies.google.com/technologies/cookies |
4. How to change or withdraw
- Open "Cookie settings" in the footer and change the switches; the choice takes effect at once.
- Withdrawing consent stops future collection. Events already stored are deleted at the end of the retention period, or earlier on request to [privacy@vectracomm.com].
- Your browser can block or delete storage for this site. The page still works; it will ask for your choices again.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out from usage measurement and from any sale or sharing of personal data. Browsers' older "Do Not Track" setting has no agreed meaning, so we rely on the banner and GPC instead.
